It’s engagement season – the time of year when guys get down on their knees and try to surprise their girlfriends with a big diamond, a trip away, and the promise of a lifetime full of happiness and joy. It’s also winter, and many of us could do with a bit of cheer. So for the next few weeks we’re going to be featuring some our favourite creative engagement shoots here on the blog.

Last week we featured Matthew and Irina’s ‘Save the Date’ video, and this week it’s time to check out their engagement photos, which we captured at Albion Orchards and pumpkin patch up in Caledon. Thanks again to Scott at Albion Orchards for his support!

We weren’t sure if the weather was going to hold for us – the forecast said rain, and as we drove up the 410 the skies darkened ominously. But our famous luck with the weather gods (knock on wood!) prevailed, the skies parted briefly, and we were treated to the perfect conditions for photographers working with natural light outdoors: some dramatic clouds, and some occasional sunny breaks in the background as the sun set.

In addition to being cute as two shiny brass buttons, Matthew and Irina were an absolute delight to work with. We’re looking forward very much to capturing their wedding on September 30th this year!

Are you and your intended also ‘cute as two shiny brass buttons’ and a joy to work with? What a coincidence – so are we! Let’s get in touch and make beautiful photos together!
