We’re bringing it back! We’re talking about film, its beautiful quality, its timeless aesthetic.
Julius & James has had our busiest summer ever, and we’re sorry for the recent ‘radio silence’ during which we’ve just been too busy shooting to post something to the blog. But during our absence we’ve also been developing… literally, some new photos and a new service.
Starting now, Julius & James is reintroducing film photography at our weddings. For $220, we’ll shoot an entire roll of 35mm black and white or colour film, develop it, scan it and add the resulting digital images to your wedding photo collection.
We started this service earlier this month with Samantha and Tyler’s gorgeous wedding at Mike Weir Winery, and the Jordan Manor Bed & Breakfast in St. Catherines, where these images were shot.
The black and white images are Ilford HP4, and the colour images are Rollei colour slide film. Colour slides are simply spectacular to see – you can hold them up to the light and the images just glow.
We hope you enjoy this little taste of the beauty and joy to come! Our complete photo essay featuring Sam and Tyler’s wedding will be coming to the blog later this fall.
Stay tuned, and go to the bottom of the page to get in touch!
Are you a film aficionado? Do you spend your days wandering the streets armed with an old Nikon SLR, an old Rolleiflex TLR, or an old Mamiya, your shutter cocked, and ready to capture that perfect image? Well we do, and we’re just the type of people you should trust with your wedding photography. So go on, get in touch. If we don’t answer the phone, it means we’re in the dark room.
